If I’m being honest, I meant to post this before I left for my vacation but, since I gave up shopping for Lent, it was tough to write a fashion post without temptation.
A month back I flew down to Puerto Vallarta for vacation with my dad’s side of the family I don’t get to spend a lot of time with. Said vacation was definitely a much-needed get away from work and my San Francisco social life – I think it even made my friends miss me. The first time I went to Mexico was for a service trip to build homes in Tecate, a town just 30 miles east of Tijuana. I’d never actually been to a resort in Mexico so I was pretty excited to jet away.
Since I gave shopping up for Lent, I had to really dig some pieces out of my closet that felt fresh but ideal for warmer weather. When I think of tropical destinations I often think of light (and white – hello tan!) and airy pieces that are comfortable but have reflect subtle hints of my style. I’m talking sundresses, linen shorts, and big floppy hats. Take a look at my tropical vacation picks above!
