There is no social media medium I use more than Instagram. As a very visual person, I get a lot of inspiration from Instagram snaps for fashion, food, travel, puppies, and decor for my apartment. Those who know me well know that I have a serious fear of missing all the pictures on the feed for even one day.
Lately, there are several accounts that have been inspiring me on a daily basis:
Northstar California Resort
This Northstar Ski Resort account has been contributing to my winter day dreams a lot lately. I haven’t seen snow yet this winter so these snaps have me excited for our ski trip to Tahoe at the of the month. It’s also just hard to resist this little patrol pup in training.
Mango the Golden Retriever
My latest obsession (a severe understatement) has been this little bundle of gold, Mango. I’ve been going through a puppy craze for about a year now and this little guy is porbably the fluffiest golden I could find for my daily fix. He’s also sort of clumsy, which is oh so adorable.
Pacific Northwest Wonderland
Having grown up and living in Washington my whole life, I often get nostalgic for my Evergreen state. One of the best things about flying into Seattle whenever I head home is peeking out the window at the mountains and green. The Pacific Northwest really is just majestic.
Hands down one of my favorite designers has got to be Monique Lhuillier. I’ve been dreaming of her beautiful gowns for years now. Not only do I enjoy swiping through her gorgeous creations, but I also love catching up on her life outside the studio when she’s traveling with family or munching on something tasty.
After living in San Francisco for sometime now, I definitely see Steph and Ayesha Curry as the power couple of the Bay Area. I love following Ayesha not only for her adorable videos and snaps of Riley, but because she posts a lot of pictures of her own cooking ventures and is just as outspoken as another one of my favorites, Chrissy Teigen. And because I really, really like the Dubsmashes she makes with Steph.
Now I’ll be first to say that I’m really not the healthiest of eaters though I won’t say that I’m the worst either. For Christmas, my roommate got me a spiralizer which has gotten me excited about making ligher versions of my favorite pastas but with vegetables. As a result, I started following Kirsten Manitoba who has become some sort of a Whole 30 guru. I’m not into dieting but this Insta account has some serious inspiration for cleaner eating.
Over the past several months I’ve realized that there is seriously nothing cooler than space. My new excitement over space may or may not have been from seeing The Martian (one of my favorites from 2015). Since then I’ve been following Scott Kelly on his Year in Space at the International Space Station. He posts daily snaps of close up shots of some of the most colorful places on Earth. This account is more than worth the follow!
