I’ll admit, as a serious shopaholic, the end of Lent couldn’t come soon enough. Not because for forty days I had the impulse to burn some major dinero but because I was forced to refrain from making sorta-necessary-but-not-essential purchases such as a walnut picture frame to complete my nightstand or a new pair of comfy flats for the office. If those things weren’t considered essential, then what category did makeup and premium toiletries fall into? Afterall, makeup is something I put on everyday before I leave the house but it’s also an area women tend to invest in heavily. I digress. I finally got my butt to Sephora immediately after Easter to get my hands on what I was really coveting.
Since the weather had been warming up and I was still rocking a tan post-Mexico, I was anxious to keep my skin hydrated and enhance my fading skin-kissed features with new spring beauty products. This spring I found I’m gravitating more towards feminine colors (hello lilac polish!) and tints that leave my skin looking dewy with a bit of shimmer. I also found that neutral powders kept my eyes looking fresh.
